About the event

In this hands-on class, we’ll focus on the foundation of a classic olive oil cake—a simple, versatile dessert every baker should have in their back pocket.


Students will make a lemon-flavored olive oil cake, learning how olive oil creates a tender, moist crumb and how to build flavor directly into the batter. We’ll break down the core structure of the cake, then discuss how to easily adapt the base recipe by changing citrus, aromatics, extracts, and complementary flavors so you can make it your own again and again.


To finish, we’ll make flavored whipped cream designed to enhance and balance your cake, with guidance on how to customize whipped cream flavors to match any variation of the cake.


This class is approachable for all skill levels and ideal for home bakers looking to expand their confidence with quick, reliable desserts that feel elevated but effortless.
