Cookie Decorating Classes in Hood River
Come decorate cookies with me in my teaching kitchen in Hood River, Oregon. In about an hour and a half you'll learn how royal icing really works, flood and pipe your own set of sugar cookies, and take home six cookies you decorated yourself. No experience needed. Just bring a friend, your kids or your date, and I'll walk you through every step.

What You'll Learn
-
How to read royal icing consistency, so it floods smooth instead of running or cratering
-
Flooding a clean base, then adding piped details, dots and lettering
-
Simple layering for depth, like petals, fur and painted features
-
Why your icing acts different on a humid day, and what to do about it. A recipe won't teach you that. Practice will.

Learn from a working baker.
I'm Dani Annala. I run Dani's Kitchen Shop, a custom cookie bakery and teaching kitchen in Hood River. I've decorated more than 200,000 cookies in my career and taught more than 1,400 students. I wasn't a skilled decorator when I started. Every technique I teach is one I learned by doing it over and over, and I love watching it click for someone else.
Private Classes + Parties
Birthdays, team events, bridal showers or a night out with friends. I can host a private cookie decorating class for your group with a theme of your choice. Everyone gets step-by-step help, and light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are included. Private classes start at $250 plus $30 to $50 per person, depending on the class. Request your date on the Private Class page.
Give a Class as a Gift
A cookie decorating class makes a great gift for the person who has everything. The Cookie Decorating Class Gift Card is $65, enough for one seasonal or mini cookie class. Find it in the shop.
Not in the Gorge?
You can still learn with me from home. Get my free royal icing recipe, then take the Icing Confidence Mini Class for $9.99 and learn to read your icing so it floods smooth every time.
